Trains came to Nashigawa late in the village's life, which is why the train station is at the very edge of the town. The station has but a single platform, one ticket booth, and has a grand view of the surrounding rice fields. You'd be lucky to see more than two trains go past in an hour here, yet many people still use the public transport to go to the other towns in the area. Every now and again strange shapes will be seen playing on the railway tracks, but in a place like Nashigawa this is taken as normal. Nearby the station is a bus stop. The antique buses go direct to Nashigawa's main street.
