THE MAIN STREETThe main street runs through the centre of Nashigawa Town, flanked on each side by a number of shops and buildings. It's never really crowded, never in a true rush, giving the place a peaceful atmosphere. |

HAYASHI DOJO The Dojo is one of the most prosperous and long-lived establishments in Nashigawa. This huge traditional-styled building lies in the very busiest part of the village. Every day many of the village's inhabitants visit the Dojo to practice or learn the skills of martial arts. |

NASHIGAWA GAKUENDue to Nashigawa's small population, there has never been a need for separate junior, middle and high schools. Instead they are combined in this single school, each "level" having their own separate building. The grounds of the school dwarf the buildings themselves, the tallest of which is a mere three floors. |

RYOGAMI SHRINEBright red walls, traditional gardens, ancient Torii gates... this is the Ryogami Shrine, sacred to the dragon god of Nashigawa. Unlike many shrines, this small complex in the small rural town is not flooded by tourists. Here the kami can dwell in peace; at least, you would think so. But the shrine's protective spells are not what they used to be. Who knows what could break through? |

TENKAWA-JITenkawa-ji is the local temple. The temple is fairly new compared to Ryogami shrine, yet it still has it's fair share of stories. |

NASHIGAWA TRAIN STATIONTrains came to Nashigawa late in the village's life, which is why the train station is at the very edge of the town. The station has but a single platform, one ticket booth, and has a grand view of the surrounding rice fields. You'd be lucky to see more than two trains go past in an hour here, yet many people still use the public transport to go to the other towns in the area. Every now and again strange shapes will be seen playing on the railway tracks, but in a place like Nashigawa this is taken as normal. Nearby the station is a bus stop. The antique buses go direct to Nashigawa's main street. |

THE RICE FIELDSFlooded during the rice season, dry at every other time of the year; these are the rice fields. The fertile soil here is the reason for Nashigawa's existence as a village. There are several different families that own the rice fields, but their properties are so vast that you can barely tell the difference where one person's ends and the others begins. |

BYAKUROKU FORESTThe Byakuroku Forest nearly encircles the entire area of Nashigawa. Out past the rice fields, out past the dirt roads, lies this giant green monster under which hides many relics from the past. |

ABANDONED SHRINEOnce, there were two shrines in Nashigawa; one for Ryogami, and one for Kagegami. But during the early 20th century, the shrine of Kagegami was abandoned. It still stands, a seemingly empty building, overgrown and worn by the weather. |

NASHIGAWA MOUNTAINSThe Nashigawa mountains are not very tall, as far as mountains go. They lie to the north of Nashigawa, and are mostly covered by dense forest. Here and there, abandoned houses and settlements peak beneath the undergrowth. The mountains are said to be protected by Ryogami, and are a safe sanctuary for those seeking a place to escape. |
